Issue Resolved Can’t apply for IDFC First app sticker

The highlighted issue has been resolved by the bank/financial institution.
See the screenshot attached, basically when I’m trying to apply for the second time for the first tap sticker because for the first time I had a wealth account which got upgraded to private, and then the sticker was closed and from last two weeks, I’m trying to apply, but it is always throw a error. and yes, I have already emailed my RM. I have called to the customer care. They don’t a clue have reinstalled the app, still the same error. Anybody face this issue? How do they resolve it?

Update - 26/02/2025 - to resolve this error of "unable to process your request" call your RM/BM and tell them you can't apply and you need First tap so this is backend issue so in a day or two card will be available for Pin generation automatically.

Since it blowup version of the app it not there where on app it show up and I did search nothing show up.
you have to open app, go to accounts on bottom, then on top go to cards, then click on your wealth/private dc, then apply option will come there...

if you can't see the option, it means you have already applied and the card will soon anytime/day will show up on your app. Have patience.

Not able to apply firstap card. it says "unable to process request at the moment. Please retry later" . i have tried checking it daily for last few days but it stays the same. Called CC but they asked to try later.
IDFC app did not allow me to take a screen shot - may be that is the reason for your screenshot being blurred.

i was trying to apply from card section only but it shows the same message - "unable to process request at the moment. Please retry later" .

Try on Monday or Tuesday during bank working hours.

Who knows, there might be a daily limit on the number of people who can apply.

Could anyone please confirm if firstap shows immediately on app? I applied and service request status shows closed but I don't see it in app and also apply firstap button is still showing
 
unsinstall reinstall app perhaps, and do hard restart of the phone.

I will stick to my previous reply, your firstap is already applied, you need to wait till they issue it to you.
I had reinstall the app still the same error, hard restart mean reset? I won’t do it for one app though I might just update to 18.3 something though.

Got the same error. I think you are getting the error of try again after sometime like that. Complained already but idfc will usually not bother about customer’s specific issues. Still error persists. If solved pls tell me also..

have emailed Idfc they have no clue to seem so I have made a video and have send it to them so let c. Will update here.
 
@vaibhav111 Let me explain why you are not able to apply for it again. Idfc is having some sort of last debit card replacing/upgrading system. Basically they upgrade the last issued debit card so if you had firsttap before upgrading to wealth then their system upgraded your first tap to wealth dc and now it won't let u apply for firsttap again until you close wealth dc.

This is a big glitch in their system. They should have replaced regular debit card but their system is replacing last issued card.

I know this because a friend of mine had select banking with both select dc and first tap dc and then he upgraded to wealth banking. Idfc upgraded his first tap to wealth dc and now he holds both dc select and wealth together. He is fighting for first tap from months but no use.

So basically if you are upgrading your banking program in idfc then block your firsttap dc and replace your regular dc so their system changes the last issued card to new dc.

I was also upgraded from select to wealth.
I never had firsttap card earlier.

Still I am not able to apply

Is your account a joint account? For joint account holders this is the case. I also have a joint account and another solo account. I could apply for firstap thru my solo acct but for joint account, same error message as yours persists.
I applied for firsttap on Friday and this morning I could see the digital card generated, used the same on canara setu for paying hdfc card bill. Hoping I'll get the welcome reward of 8k points along with the spend points.
Does anyone know the spend on the firsttap will be counted along with the wealth card spends or will be separate, reason I am asking to ensure I meet the threshold (50k) spends on the firsttap. Already have met the threshold for this month on visa wealth debit card but now it's not working on canara setu.

So I had zero mab IDFC account then upgraded to wealth account and then to private account. So when I held wealth account, I had applied for the firsttap sticker and i then got upgraded to private. An IDFC first tap sticker was just removed on its own
 
an update : my dad got issued 1st tap just today. I applied 1-2 days back i think.

I think vaibhav you need to talk to RM or BM and get the core issue fixed first, if you have private dc, then why wealth is coming, From your screenshot i can't even see properly which card is which as the text isn't clear.
