Can’t apply for IDFC First app sticker

See the screenshot attached, basically when I’m trying to apply for the second time for the first tap sticker because for the first time I had a wealth account which got upgraded to private, and then the sticker was closed and from last two weeks, I’m trying to apply, but it is always throw a error. and yes, I have already emailed my RM. I have called to the customer care. They don’t a clue have reinstalled the app, still the same error. Anybody face this issue? How do they resolve it?

an update : my dad got issued 1st tap just today. I applied 1-2 days back i think.

I think vaibhav you need to talk to RM or BM and get the core issue fixed first, if you have private dc, then why wealth is coming, From your screenshot i can't even see properly which card is which as the text isn't clear.

As for my experience in IDFC all DC cards.All debited cards stay active. RM is also lazy though.

Hmm I'm not sure what you meaning to ask? CC had nothing to do with idfc some 2 year ago. Now all idfc cc are shit.

What kind of sorcery is this? How can you have all dc's? classic/wealth/private? I remember when I activated my wealth dc, classic got removed instantly.

Again, this is a core banking issue, shoot an email to banker@idfc and cc to pno aswell.

@vaibhav111 Let me explain why you are not able to apply for it again. Idfc is having some sort of last debit card replacing/upgrading system. Basically they upgrade the last issued debit card so if you had first tap before upgrading to wealth then their system upgraded your first tap to wealth dc and now it won't let u apply for first tap again until you close wealth dc.

This is a big glitch in their system. They should have replaced regular debit card but their system is replacing last issued card.

I know this because a friend of mine had select banking with both select dc and first tap dc and then he upgraded to wealth banking. Idfc upgraded his first tap to wealth dc and now he holds both dc select and wealth together. He is fighting for first tap from months but no use.

So basically if you are upgrading your banking program in idfc then block your firsttap dc and replace your regular dc so their system changes the last issued card to new dc.

very interesting. My friend also have select acc, and he upgraded his to wealth under family banking of his wife(basically he is operating both acc's) but wife's in papers.

He never faced such issue in his select, but i guess that's coz he never applied for firstap.

So what's the solution here? I am guessing vaibhav needs to close all his dc's. First normal one. then wealth, both permanent block.

Then wait and chk if private card gives option for firstap. I don't even know if private acc can get wealth, so I am going with the assumption that they can.

Anyways, if after perm blocking both wealth dc and normal , chk if first tap apply works. If not, wait 24 hours. If still not, then perma block private too. Then start afresh, ask for new issuance of private dc, and then apply first tap after that.

Yeah that the purpose bro you're referring to first tap sticker right? It a normal dc + tap and pay on your iphone or any android phone where nfc isn't there or secondary phone.

I don't have Idfc account. But faced similar kind of situation in other bank which nobody (branch or cc guys) could resolve.

Later issue resolved by their ATM cell.

Try connecting their Debit card/ ATM cell through your RM /Grievance desk.

Try closing all the cards. and then applying a new Private DC and after that apply first tap through that card. You will get multiple benefits. 🤣

In that case classic and wealth maybe gone.
In my opinion follow up in mail and pushing RM will be better than closing the cards

Is your account a joint account? For joint account holders this is the case. I also have a joint account and another solo account. I could apply for firstap thru my solo acct but for joint account, same error message as yours persists.
I applied for firsttap on Friday and this morning I could see the digital card generated, used the same on canara setu for paying hdfc card bill. Hoping I'll get the welcome reward of 8k points along with the spend points.
Does anyone know the spend on the firsttap will be counted along with the wealth card spends or will be separate, reason I am asking to ensure I meet the threshold (50k) spends on the firsttap. Already have met the threshold for this month on visa wealth debit card but now it's not working on canara setu.

Yes, the spend on Firstap will be counted along with Wealth DC. The IDFC Rewards portal is linked to the customer ID, not the card.
As soon as you reach the maximum capping they will stop giving you RPs, even if you use a different DC. The capping represents the maximum number of RPs you can earn in a month.
