Issue Resolved Can’t apply for IDFC First app sticker

See the screenshot attached, basically when I’m trying to apply for the second time for the first tap sticker because for the first time I had a wealth account which got upgraded to private, and then the sticker was closed and from last two weeks, I’m trying to apply, but it is always throw a error. and yes, I have already emailed my RM. I have called to the customer care. They don’t a clue have reinstalled the app, still the same error. Anybody face this issue? How do they resolve it?

Update - 26/02/2025 - to resolve this error of "unable to process your request" call your RM/BM and tell them you can't apply and you need First tap so this is backend issue so in a day or two card will be available for Pin generation automatically.

I don't know the way out of this , but it seems joint account holders are not able to apply one. Same issue with my joint account too .

I could only apply from a solo account.

unsinstall reinstall app perhaps, and do hard restart of the phone.

done that before posting here - did not solve the issue.

your firstap is already applied, you need to wait till they issue it to you.

They should have replaced regular debit card but their system is replacing last issued card.

I know this because a friend of mine had select banking with both select dc and first tap dc and then he upgraded to wealth banking. Idfc upgraded his first tap to wealth dc and now he holds both dc select and wealth together. He is fighting for first tap from months but no use.

So basically if you are upgrading your banking program in idfc then block your firsttap dc and replace your regular dc so their system changes the last issued card to new dc.

Unlikely that this explains the issue being encountered by many people here (including me) - as i did not have such an issue where i ended up closing my firstap card.

for joint account, same error message as yours persists.

So bro which dc should I closed or replace cause i don't have active first tap just three idfc dc so will close immediately so i can get first tap rupay and pay the bill via phonepe.

So I had zero mab IDFC account then upgraded to wealth account and then to private account. So when I held wealth account, I had applied for the firsttap sticker and i then got upgraded to private. An IDFC first tap sticker was just removed on its own

In your case your private dc replaced your firsttap instead of wealth dc. You may try blocking private dc and then apply for firsttap then ask your Rm/bm or customer care to issue u a private dc again or ask your rm/bm to fix this issue directly.

called RM and now 2 dc are blocked, since private dc is metal and there could be fees if i reissue so have blocked classic and wealth dc for now and i can get those back again though cause in the app it show for re-ssie not sure about the charges so even after that still can't apply for first tap sticker.

I think you won't be able to apply firsttap even if you block private dc as it will show reissuance button for private dc. This is a big headache now. This glitch is in their core banking system and only their bank end team can do something.

Sir, I think best workable solution at this stage is to connect with their back end team via grievance >> ATM/DC Cell >> Backend Team.

Trial and error is good. But, it has a limit too. Rest it's upto you.
