Received this, but the process isn't working.
Currently my account showing as blocked.. not sure if it will be unblocked if i accept this upgrade..

Even though their email specifically says that after opting for upgrade, a Virtual DC will be made available in the App, it is NOT visible at all.
Instead of a promised Virtual DC, it is giving only an option of a physical card.
Not interested in getting another useless DC. I rarely use a DC (I hardly used a DC in the last 10 years).

AFAIK, earlier NSDL bank start issuance new RuPay Platinum debit cards for new customers, card number start with 81 series.
Now 81 series BIN issuance to all users.

The customer care never replied to my mail when I couldn't sign-up. It's cultural for institusions like NSDL. Even their insurance repository is the same. I sent an email before signing up for premium services and they never replied. The phones weren't answered either.

Today,
The old virtual DC is no longer visible in the App.
And, a new VIRTUAL RUPAY PLATINUM DC is visible. Activated thru the option - manage card. Worked.
So, no compulsion to take physical DC. Glad I waited instead of hurrying last week.

Same here, they completely removed the old virtual DC, then I added a new card, and everything is back to normal. Very smooth process.
Is your account blocked earlier before upgrading the debit card?

No, mine was never blocked because I completed full KYC.
Many completed full kyc and still blocked
