Infinia HDFC Infinia Priority Pass Charged for Access in Domestic Indian Airports

Guys, I suggest we please stop pursuing this. Enough people have reached out to them over call and especially email, can we please just quietly wait to hear back from grievance redressal? Asking repeated questions around a devaluation that most likely hasn’t will convince the bank that customers will happily accept the change and actually do it. 😊
vahi, people go haywire, everyone wants to call them and mail them what for? just for an answer they can post here and get some brownie points over

Hi,

May I ask you, if you compiled it from respective card websites? Also, which card of ICICI are you referring to?

DCB seems to a far better option for lounges within HDFC with above stats.
All icici cards (visa) share same list. Just the number of visits is different.

It's not always about getting the brownie points buddy and what brownie points...who cares. With PP not being allowed domestically, ppl might be concerned about additional privileges that come with Infinia being curtailed like faster entry into the lounges, access to arrival lounges and so on. Moreover, some travelers have used PP to access domestic lounges recently. Most of folks here simply trying to seek clarity here.
Posts don't give you points like cards do. Any post is ok as long as it's adding some value or making some sense.

HDFC Grievance confirming charges using Priority Pass on domestic lounges, have responded them back asking why Infinia Metal benefit page still showing up wrong information and from when this change is applicable and why users are not being notified regarding the change in lounge access if there have been any changes recently.

Lets see what they reply back.

Call me crazy but this email doesn’t even once mention the word Infinia. Without that context, these rules have been true for all CC except Infinia for years. You should confirm this specifically for Infinia in a followup and ask from which exact date are these charges effective for this specific card.

Agree, I too used pp domestically recently

But I don't think bombarding the bank with questions by everyone is the right way to go
Everyone asking the same question also raises flags and highlights certain things to management which sometimes causes decisions to be taken which they weren't even thinking of.

If someone has mentioned they have sent a mail or have called and talked and are awaiting response the right thing to do is wait instead of just jumping to send hundreds of mail to them

Sending emails to the bank is a different thing than making posts for brownie points. People, incl. myself, have written to the bank to seek clarity as customer care's responses have been pretty inconsistent. Also, it's about making them realize that a formal communication to the card holders is required in case of such changes or this may lead to a bad PR and customer dissatisfaction. You may recall, when GVP was continued in Dec '24, some people spoke to CC and also emailed them which led to reinstatement of the program.

Also agreed, but that was dissatisfaction with some confirmation of gvp closing, this is dissatisfaction for something that isn't even likely true
You'll ask questions so cs will reply something or the other with no consistency
There is no confirmation that pp cannot be used domestically, no communication of the same has been done
If anyone sees the charges then we can say we've been wrongly charged

In the current case as many people have said it could've been guest swipes that were charged and OP never confirmed if it was that or not

Unfortunately someone merged threads pertaining to 2 different topics. One was about OP getting charged on his PP in Nov '24 which has nothing to do with the recent change and the other was is about the banking mandating the usage of PP for domestic lounges. For the latter, our folks are trying to get some clarity so that they don't get charged retrospectively and also trying to express their disappointment on this forum which is ok

Unfortunately the mod in question (@sidp) is too busy shutting people up and defending himself for merging totally unrelated threads, on grounds that the guy got charged for November usage in March because HDFC is applying this PP change retroactively!! I can’t believe this is the level of basic financial knowledge and logical abilities of our new moderators here @TechnoFino.

Yeah. My thread of Infinia PP Devaluation should never have been merged with this thread. I tried explaining to the mod about the difference, but to no avail. Now people are confused after seeing the first page, and the last few pages, as both of them are not related at all.

As Priority pass on HDFC Infinia has now recently been donwgraded where it now only allows only visits to International lounge access and Domestic lounge can still be accessed via Infina credit card.

I just want to know will a visit to Mumbai International Airport Lounge be considered as a domestic lounge visit or comes under International Visit?
All lounges for international flights which are located within India are domestic lounges.
You are outside India only when you leave Indian Air space

Sad, but just got this official revert from Customer Services, no more PP for domestic lounges. Posting the link the Lounge Tnc in the email.
"We regret to inform you that you are unable to use"...

Messaging always open to interpretation...
This was the only one.
Now no Priority pass issued by any bank in India will give free Lounge access within India
I think PP from Olympus allows.
