Hi,

Please post the cibil score at which you got all your cards.

In this way we can identify the minimum cibil score required for each bank.

For example, I got BoB and PnB credit card at CIbil score of 767 and I can see in their Policy document that minimum score required is 700 for cibil.

Similarly from a thread here, I got to know that Axis has a Cibl requirement of minimum 736 score.

Indian bank has Cibil score requirement of 775 for online and 730 for offline applications.

List of Banks and Minimum Cibil Score
  1. Axis Bank > 736
  2. Bank of Baroda >700
  3. PNB >700
  4. Indian bank physical application >730
  5. Indian bank online application >775
  6. HDFC bank > 732
  7. ICICI Bank > ___
  8. RBL Bank > ___
  9. Amex > ___
  10. Yes Bank > ___
  11. Standard Chartered > ____
  12. HSBC > ___
  13. SBI > ___

No need of this thread because cibil score is one factor that determines approval of application ... Income , age, credit age , relationship with bank and various other factors are also considered.

So , Cibil above 750 is accepted everywhere .

You are partially correct, but for people who have low cibil score it will be of great help as they can decide beforehand whether they are even eligible to apply. Whats your opinion?

Those who have score below 750 can apply through agent or DSAs otherwise applying online will lead to rejection only because there must be any payment default that's why cibil is below 750
Sometimes luck also work and sometimes financial year end targets also work .

Off-topic:

Even for someone with a low score, it is easy to improve the score with FD backed cards.

On the other day, I was in a shop selling mobiles on EMI. The person (who handles EMI) said it is possible to provide loan for anyone with any score (for mobile).

Back to topic: I didn't have any CIBIL when I got my first CC 10+ years ago. It was issued as I had the SB account with the card issuing bank (Axis). Axis still issues CC for SB account holders based on other factors (as already mentioned by a fellow forum member). All my current cards were procured when my CIBIL was (still is) 790+.
