I don't know why banks do this, but they could reduce the cashback percentage points or have a separate limit for utility payments (say INR 200 p.m) instead of outright excluding them. I mean, where do they think the middle class spends money........F** these bastards. Online bill payment has brought down the overhead management cost to almost zero, and yet no Indian business is ready to share those savings with customers.

All online major platforms like amazon,flipkart,blinkit,swiggy etc and all offline spends excluding utility and some specific mcc. You can find exclusion list of mcc in this thread.

can be spent on lifestyle websites and stores, still its a no nonsense 5% card if used outside excluded MCCs (in same league as Millennia CC)
