Regalia Gold Upgrade from HDFC Regalia Gold to DCB

I got upgraded from Regalia First (LTF) to Regalia Gold (FYF) earlier this year (March'24), have spent close to 2 lakhs as of June

I emailed bank if there is a chance for Infinia, which obviously they declined and on the same email I requested if they could "atleast" convert my card to LTF and my wish was granted

Now the card is LTF.

Since the card is LTF , I have spent another 4 lakhs (not great rewards in comparison to Diners Club black (PVC or Metal) or Infinia)

These are necessary spends and nothing forced

TLDR -- so far spent 6 lakhs and might spend another 2 before end of this year. What are my chances getting DCB plastic or Metal? Will I get an upgrade in net banking portal or do I have to reach out to someone?

Current cash limit -- 6.94 Lakhs INR

I want to hear from people who have successfully Upgraded to DCB or Infinia?

As far I found yes, they have issues with cobranded as till when I had tata neu infinity ltf in February, they were directly rejecting and in February requested for closure of tata neu infinity and after that in March asked for dcbm they instantly send the form asking for filling up & send them back, I did same and on 18th march i was able to see dcbm in app & mycards

So thank you for clearing out my confusion as I had spent 2.5L on infinity in 7 months so thought why not keep it for next year or what to do cancel it? But since you got ltf n had to close it only then things started to work out then I will pay off my bills n request for closure by month end.

Hi have tried the same for upgrade from regalia gold to DCB. They just sent reply asking for filling up form but didn't mention if they are willing to process the upgrade or yet to decide ? Can you please share if they confirmed the upgrade before asking for the form ? Thanks

Yes they confirm the upgrade and then proceeded it further.


We wish to inform you that your request for card upgrade has been reviewed in line with bank's internal policy and guidelines. We are willing to offer card upgrade of your existing credit card to a first year free Diners black Metal credit card with same credit limit. From second year onwards, renewal fee for Rs.10,000 plus GST at 18% is applicable which shall be waived upon incurring spends for an amount of Rs.8,00,000.00 or more in 12 months (previous year).

Congrats and thanks for sharing, it is not the same for my case since my CL is not 5L. They just asked for the form even to check eligibility 🙂

Chances are they will check & maybe you will get approved because of recent devaluation with smartbuy from ~10% to ~6%
