@drsel Yup. This is a Credit product, same like Visa/Master/RuPay CC with 45/50 days interest free.
In your cibil, it will show under credit card section not loan.

The only difference is that, this credit line product will use the UPI network instead of the Visa/Master/RuPay network.

Currently, banks issue Credit line on card networks "Visa/Master/RuPay/Amex/Diners network".
Now Banks will soon issue Credit line on UPI network too.

Can anyone explain what this means?

A necessary evil move. If implemented, and suppose you have to do a P2M transaction of a larger amount, then wait at the shop until the cooling-off period ends. However, the authorities are still mulling. And I hope they come up with a better solution like dropping a phone to the account holder to confirm the transaction like credit cards.

Is this restriction only for P2P or P2M transactions also?
For P2M transactions this might not play out good.

Earlier, when Rupay name was showing PNB transaction statement no. start with 33191xx which is correct Rupay transaction number.
