[RESOLVED] Amazon Welcome Gift Voucher not redeeming

Vaasu Annan

TF Select
Hello all, I recently got a SimplyClick Card, and as part of the Welcome Offer, I was eligible for a ₹500 Amazon Gift Voucher on payment of the Annual charges. I got the code for the voucher by email from E.Voucher@sbicard.com; However, when I tried to redeem it, it ended up in error. I raised a complaint with SBI Card, and after a week of no response, I called them, and they informed me that the code I have is valid as per their investigation.

Has anyone else in here faced this issue? What am I supposed to do here? How can I escalate the issue?

Edit: Issue has been resolved. Thanks to Copycat. Post#15

Is the code u received alpha-numeric?
If not, then u need to go to different web (click on link provided somewhere in email), generate APay GC there with 4 digit pin given in email.

If it doesn't match what I said, share SS of mail without showing the pin, voucher code, etc.

The text on the email is not fully visible, so I had to copy everything and paste it into a text file to make it visible.

When I try to redeem the code on Amazon, I get the following message - "You seem to have entered an invalid Gift Card / Promo code. Please enter the alphanumeric Gift Card code."

Does code match with below code?
e.g. 8U96-Y3E8CQ-39MPQ

Amazon codes are of the form 8U95-Y3E8CQ-39MPQ (according to their example) 4 then 6 then 5
(EDIT: Don't know why Amazon shows 5 characters in the 3rd set. All recent ones I got show only 4 characters in the last set. So it is 4-6-4)

Remove all hyphens and add the code. If it is an APay code it will work

I checked the actual vouchers I got recently. They are 4-6-4
So 14 characters only. I am not sure why Amazon shows a 15 character example
"Amazon Pay Gift Card Code is a 14-digit alpha-numeric code (eg. AS25-NZ1JX-CZCP5). You should NOT enter the Gift Card Reference ID in this field. If you experience any issues with your gift card, you can provide the 16-digit numeric Reference ID to customer service. A Promo Code is a 15-digit alpha-numeric code (eg. SLQQ8-VF9Q1-FMBFB)"

-From Amazon Pay Gift card page.

Thank you for clarifying
So that means yours could be a promo code? Could you try entering it in the promo code field (on the 2nd last page of checkout) and see if it works? You need not proceed further
