U need to open offline
Online account opening has been paused
While opening account don't choose Debit card

After account opening get dc via customer care.

The process of taking a debit card, activating it, hotlisting it is very painful and slow in IOB. Staff often apply for wrong DC if we apply at branch. Even if we apply from app, card comes at branch, staff doesn't inform us it arrived. Have to visit bank many times and collect it.

Have to ask THEM to activate it from bank side and then activate it again via ATM OR online, with certain waiting periods. There is no facility to hotlist/permanently block a DC in IOB, can only soft-block it. To hotlist, have to give a written application to them that we are surrendering the DC. Only then we can get another DC via this whole slow process.

Anyway, I just need the BIN if anyone has it, nothing else. If nobody knows the IOB RuPay Select DC BIN, it's alright. Then I won't get RuPay Select but RuPay Platinum directly

Yeah separate years. Benefits are renewed every calendar year. I've claimed in 2023 and 2024 and prime benefits were carried forward without any loss.
