IndusInd Bank Credit Card Application: Timeline and Current Process Update

I’ve been wanting to get an IndusInd card and tried applying since 2023, but my applications kept getting instantly rejected after providing my address, work details, etc. However, this time, I was at least able to complete the application process, including vKYC (I chose the Legend LTF card).

When I called the IVR to check the application status, after entering my DOB and phone number, it kept saying the application was rejected. But when I spoke to customer care, they said it’s still under process, and the same was confirmed by their Twitter team.

I applied on November 18th.

What are the chances of my application being approved this time? Any info, help, or suggestions would be much appreciated.



Updates:
  1. 18th Nov 2024
    • Applied for an IndusInd credit card through their official website. After filling in my personal and work details, it displayed a list of eligible cards, and I chose the Legend LTF card (it showed me a limit of 3.3L).
    • No income documents were requested, but an OTP was sent to my office email ID.
    • Completed VKYC the same day.
  2. 25th Nov 2024
    • Customer Care/Social Media support confirmed the card was approved on 24th April 2024 and informed me of a 2L limit (strangely, as the application and email initially showed 3.3L).
  3. 26th Nov 2024
    • Received an SMS with the card's last 4 digits for activation.
    • Activated the card, and the limit was confirmed as 2L, as mentioned by the Customer Care team.
  4. 29th Nov 2024:
    • Card finally delivered.

Check your email if they have rejected it then they will send you an email. Otherwise, wait for 2-3 working days they might do physical verification. Generally, within 5 working days, you will get an update but in the case of IndusInd, you never know how long they take.

I haven’t received any rejection email. I confirmed again today on Twitter and also checked with the customer care team, and both informed me that the application is still under process.

As u reached till vkyc chances of approval is high but they might do the phys verification if req..

After waiting a week, I was finally informed by customer care (who even shared the card limit when I asked) and their Twitter team that my application has been approved. However, I have not yet received any email or SMS confirmation.

You will receive email first and then dispatched details.Indusind seems to be too slow with updating things
I have received card,activated and used too but sometimes i receive message for activating very weird

Can I trust the customer team when they say my application is "approved"? I find it hard to believe because I have been trying for more than a year. 😅

Yes if they say approved then it is , even i had to confirm with customer care for status and once they said its approved on the call not sure how i immediately received an email,may be he triggered from his system

I think we are on the same batch. I also applied for IndusInd Tiger credit card on Nov 15. Completed VKYC also on the same date.
Everything was OK but no communication after that.

I also contacted their social media team and customer care, but everyone told application is in progress and we will let you know.
I had almost left it, but then -
got SMS today that card ending last 4 digits has been despatched through bluedart. !!
I also got another SMS to activate the card, with a link. Clicked the link, logged in to their portal and activated the card, set the transaction limits and all.

(While applying they showed credit limit of 5L but when I activated the card, I saw that the approved actual limit is only 2L, but that's still OK, without any difficulties I got the card).

But another shitty thing is - all this while last 10-12 days, Indisind has been sending emails saying that application is incomplete, please do VKYC.
Also i have been getting calls from indusind executives telling that - saar you have got free LTF indsuind bank card, do you want to apply? 😛

If you are getting calls saying you have a life time free IndusInd CC, that might not be IndusInd employees but external agents who work for commissions. I agree that IndusInd is slow in sending out communication to customers but it is the simplest process out there in the market today, while their backend processes take time, their UI is the cleanest not asking for any garbage information. They need to work on the VKYC processing time as they sometimes even take upto 4-5 days for vKYC completion (Approvals internally are being sought for face match percentage, slight change of address like Ngr to Nagar, Hyd to Hyderabad and so on).

Same, while applied it showed me something above 3L and now approved only 2L but that's ok for me atleast I finally got the card after many many tries and rejections.

I applied the indus card approvel limit was 2.20 L but after two days the have home verification done then the declined I asked the reason they told multiple enquiries found in the Cibil report what to do. Now ?
