Amazon pay icici walo k lnka lgegi

Time to transfer funds to another account ?
No, passwords are stored hashed so they can't do anything with that. Just restrict International txn on CC and DC. If the card nos are compromised ICICI will refresh them anyway.

And any competent ransomware group wouldn't hold card no hostage because regulators and card networks have clear policy about this. If they become compromised no point in paying ransom cuz there will no guarantee anyway.

So disable your international TXNs for peace of mind and watch the show.

The only concern would be User data (personal data) and for that cross your fingers.

The very first thing to do which is very important:
" Don't panic"..
things like this happened before and will happen in future also..just make sure practice all the guidelines the banks issue from time to time with regard to digital operations of the accounts..
Just don't panic...

At this speed, in few months, all our data will be selling at pan shops in small batches.
they already ahve it, data privacy is a joke in India, Govt asks for aadhaar for getting sim, getting fastag, and lot of very small things, which we have to get through the vendors most of the time, so mostly every govt officer in my area and every small vendors where i availed services have my data already and if rumors are to be believed, they share or sell the data as well, so no point in guarding the data

Not rumers, an Associate Vice President of a company I know has data of 2 Lacs personnels in google sheets. He resells part of that data to online/kota coaching to sell courses.

Even delivery franchises sell your address, mobile no. A few delivery companies have stopped printing mobile no in the package and delivery guys can only call privately using some app. But speedpost has and will never implement this cuz they sell that data at every level, SO, BO etc. Ever received a call where the guy knows your name and address, well thank Indian Govt for that. If Indian govt officials could sell data to pakistan they happily would, and in some cases they do.

Jan seva kendras are the retail stores to sell data. They have a lot of data with no oversight. Jan Seva Kendra is UIDAI's official retail (franchise) store for selling data.

Rule of thumb: If you don't expect a call and someone tries to confirm your name, do not do it even if legitimate. If it's important you will get an email from the entity.

Looking at your outrage, I am assuming that you have already filed a complaint against this Associate VP? You already have the details of the wrongdoing and the Data Protection Act on your side.

Also, enough of this Government/entities are selling our data. It is people within organizations who are using these shortcomings/loopholes for personal gains. What are the entities gaining from this? We collectively have to work towards ensuring that such scenarios are prevented.
Care about data and privacy? Get into this sector. Provide services for data security, become an advisor to corporates/government!
Spread awareness, but stop blaming and apply a more constructive approach.
