ICICI BANK DATA IS LEAKED BY THE RANSOMWARE GROUP BASHE

I am not taking any step. Because bank has not asked me to take any step. It's their duty let them do their job. Why should we panic? Why wasting our time and energy in unnecessary things?

Just did a transaction using DC, it went through. Cards not blocked.
you are right.. there is no need to do anything now , generally speaking... if something is going to happen, it will happen before we even know it..
I was only just testing the features for timepass !! 😉

Kinse bol diya aapko ye baat?🙂

Wo mainly liquidation ke liye hain...jab bankrupt/kangal/insolvent ho jaye bank khud tab
Tab toh RBI dega na! I mean its arm insurance premium jisne liya hay. Usi chiz ka na insurence.

the hackers have now changed the date, next date its 31st Jan (they added 7 days).

This is to all who have locked their icici net banking, app, cards in fears...

I am thinking, now you guys will stop using ICICI products for 7 more days, right? You guys already locked the bank accounts and cards smartly.
Ya to fer se unlock karo... fer lock ...

Usse achha paisa mujhe transfer kar do. na rahega paisa na koi risk. what say!

Passwords are hashed, even if they find a way around the password, they need OTP for transferring the funds, including the back side grid for new payees
For money transfer in NetBanking, you need otp and card grid numbers in ICICI Bank. I always seen entering grid numbers as a hindrance but I feel now it is always better to have 2 layers of security. Many of the banks are having only OTP as secure and this is not correct as I heard many sim theft / phone loss. Hence, all banks should have a transaction password and OTP for money transfer .

I have said this many times and will say it again: It's good that ICICI has this unique hindrance to payment. Money in your bank never did any harm. I always use it as an excuse for someone trying to sell me something I don't want (sir kharid to lu, but payment ni hopayegi online, and UPI is limited due to sim change). Even hospitals give you time to arrange for money, so there are no issues there, too.

I hate those payment gateways that automatically try to pick your OTP. It shouldn't be legal for a payment app to read OTP under any circumstance.

Simply put; follow SBI footsteps. 🌚🤣

Sim has a locking feature too and that's the idea behind banks relying too much on OTP. Set an 8-10 digit sim lock and it saves your from theft, loss and cloning. Although Banks should switch to TOTP at this point, they should give customers an option to have extra security.

SBI money transfer works on OTP only and there is no second layer security. My friend lost 20000 due to auto OTP filling feature in SBI account. Auto OTP filling is very dangerous when we click some fraud links. SBI should also bring the process of entering transaction password along with OTP

Aniket bhai SBI wale alag breed h. ICICI tries to keep you safe, SBI makes sure ki aap netbanking use hi na karein, na rhega baans na bajegi basuri. Kbi kbi to lagta h captcha me integration or differentiation ke questions na daal dein ye log.
Nahi mein toh iss liye bola ki profile password ke hona chahiye bol rahe the, SBI mein hai issi liye mention kar diya aur koi reason nahi, diehard fan nahi hoon🤣

Waise kuch features unique & ache hain, jitna use kiya hoon...

Aaj tak sabse wahiyat chiz laga hai SBI mein ki Card khudse block karne ke baad bhi activate branch se hi hoga, Mobile Banking/ Internet Banking se nahi 🤣

Credit Card delivery Bluedart se karwata hai and DC India Post (Speed Post) se 🤣

Ab isme koi faltu argument mat kariyega dono alag co. hai blah blah blah 🤣

How bro? Kya scene huwa acha se detail mein bataiye

Auto fill use hi kyu kartein hain then?
Kahe kahe pe mandatory rehta hai verification ke liye...SBI ka baat nahi kar raha

BigBasket and Domino's leaks still plague me to this day, as the scammers now have access to the home address and other sensitive information in addition to phone and email.

Now imagine having transaction history, and actual backend info on the customer. It's best to close savings product and only have credit with them as at least the later is protected by insurance.

Indian media, expectedly, downplaying it in a cool, matter-of-fact tone.

All I want is ICICI to send an email admitting that all the hefty fees they charge users for storing their money with them, is going to s**t and in certain pockets. That's it. I know they are never going to admit to the hack. Citizens, on the other hand, must always disclose everything to the bank and to the government in the name of 'security'.

I try not to give a mobile number wherever possible. Since that Domino's hack, I have actively started giving stores a fake/ highly shortened name and ask them to use any mobile number of their choosing, must they use one. Sometimes some stores say they do not need it, sometimes some stores put in whatever they might.

I do follow another practice to safeguard my accounts, although it does triple my expenses. That is the cost I must pay for the idiots who mandated upon the banks that all bank accounts must be tied to and depend upon the darned mobile number and OTP.
