Axis Credit Card Rejected

I had applied for the Axis credit card and it was rejected after few days.
So I mailed PNO to know the exact reason, but they replied the same "Internal policy" issue.
And surprisingly he also mentioned that I can reapply after 12 months 🤐🤐

Now this what is bothering me, I mean seriously, 12 months?
Is this true?

I asked them about the exact reason, but they didn't reply me properly & now they are saying I can reapply after 6 months, attaching the screenshot below.

Ideally you should wait fr 3 months. In case of Axis you can apply after rejection but that will have impact on your credit health. So it's better to give a gap of at least 3 months.

If your account opening is completed then use existing Customer option while applying credit card. For Existing customers Axis give Cards easily over the non exisitng customer.

If you get option to do vkyc then there is chance of reaction. But if kyc gets done offline then its 99% approved

Mail PNO quoting this RBI circular and ask for exact reason for the rejection.

Use their services. UPI, debit card. Have 50 k FD with them. You will receive pre-approved offer.

I would suggest against using any Axis service except credit card unless its a worst case scenario.
Axis usually furnish credit cards easily when its Neo and MyZone.

Actually I need the Airtel card, because I am having a black plan so I thought if I opened the account it will be beneficial for pre-approved offers

The mail which you got. Ask for the reason mentioning rbi circular and intenral policy is not acceptable reason. Ask them to reconsider the application. If it rejected on income or address verification basis it can be reopened.

But if its rejected due to over leverage or enquires in cibil then i would suggest wait for 3-4 months.

But get the actual reason for rejection from axis before reapplying

It was a basic savings account, so I closed that 6 months ago.

And after applying the credit card while doing the physical kyc the agent asked me to open the Libarty account and I opened the account, now I have only the Libarty account active in Axis Bank

The mail which you got. Ask for the reason mentioning rbi circular and intenral policy is not acceptable reason. Ask them to reconsider the application. If it rejected on income or address verification basis it can be reopened.

I opened Easy access A/C n received pre-approved offer fr Axis Flipkart. Then received Axis Ace n Airtel as well.

You should not have opened the account.
Even if you wanted the account, you should have first opened the account and then asked for the card via SMS/call route that I had suggested a while ago.

Regardless, for credit card concern, simply mail PNO asking for the rejection reason quoting the RBI circular I sent above. They should comply.
If not, you can complain to RBI as well.

However, I think if you call them now and ask for Neo LTF SMS on call, you should get the card. So you can try that as well because it does not trigger the CIBIL hit.

Few days back, Axis customer support executive told me about recent change in cooling period for applying credit card
If credit card approved - next day you can apply for another card
If credit card rejected - reapply after 12 months
