ICICI CC credit limit can be lowered as per our wish. Currently, it takes less than 60 days for this change to reflect in CIBIL. Used to take upto 90 days. A fellow member also confirmed this a couple of days ago. Ref: https://www.technofino.in/community/threads/38732/

We can lower the limit upto 10% of max limit given to us. For example, if the given credit limit is 5lac, we can reduce it to 50k.

If we hold multiple ICICI CCs, each card can be configured its own limit.

Useful when applying for SBI CC that can reject applications due to over leverage!

The credit limit can be increased immediately upon approval of SBI CC.

Please follow the aforementioned thread to know how to lower credit limit on other banks' CCs.

Hi,

From time to time and every month there have been so many offers going on on Sbi Rewardz and the same thread has been used to discuss these offers since September. I think it's better to use same thread again for any new offer and therefore I don't see a point in locking this thread.

HDFC upgraded the netbanking UI. Got the following banner, just after logged-in. Look nice for the eyes (not just the banner).

The new netbanking login page (at https://now.hdfcbank.com/ ) asks for OTP (sent via mobile) upon each login. 🙁 So, I am sticking with old UI for now (and then go to new UI from there). Oh wait! I can't login via old login URL anymore. It redirects automatically to the new login URL. 🙁

PSA: Two common issues that I come across in TF.

1. Not paying MAD (and paying TAD later than due date, that was in turn due to unavoidable circumstances or due to technical reasons).
2. Rotating money (even 10k rotation) that can lead to temporary freeze of bank account and/or the credit card. Some tricks are posted in the name of educational content. Every trick comes with certain risk. Calculate the risks before diving in.

Thanks everyone for a great year. I learnt a lot from the last 12+ months than what I had learned in the previous 10+ years. Of course, outside of banking too, I grew up as a better person since joined, thanks to people who trolled me, provided criticism that only shaped me to where I am. Still a long way to go. I may not be as much active as I used to. I will still check TF community from time to time like checking my HDFC Millennia DC rewards every few hours, every day, every month, until it arrives. 😝

Received a call from SBI to pay CC bill of 1lac that was past due. For CC ending with 0212. I thought SBI credit card is a private and separate entity than SBI bank. Now, the customer care said they'll collect the dues by deducting the money from my SBI SB account. Someone please help me. What do I do as I don't have a CC, nor savings account with SBI?

Didn't know that Samsung browser has an option to enable background play that works on YouTube without premium subscription. It's under settings => Useful Features, if anyone is interested.

A few months ago, a phone maker brought such an option across the mobile (irrespective of the app) that was withdrawn later after Google forced the device maker to remove.

I don't know what kind of dealing is there between Samsung and Google. But, background play works for now. I am a heavy user of background play in YouTube.

Been waiting to redeem flash.co coins for nearly a year. Couldn't reach the minimum threshold (of ₹200). Today, I got the opportunity to pay ₹80 (equal to 4000 points) and get Amazon Prime Voucher worth ₹200 (actually ₹300 due to a bug).

I don't recommend flash anymore as accumulating the points was getting harder and harder. This week, there has been a complete changeover too (devaluation). Invites fetch only ₹20 going forward. No more cash redemption after this month. I can go on and on to stay away from it.
