classic - 1L MAB preferred- 2L MAB they don't charge penalty for non maintenance, they won't downgrade easily but I would recommend you to maintain atleast 25k. Eash ShopPlat DC is LTF if you have savingsmax ac (25kMAB) & above (classic,preferred,imperia)

how to know whether the account is Classic or SavingsMax?

I also believed in the same process, but it seems like they're intentionally not upgrading my account. Savingsmax can be a solution but also will be a headache. Many people usually get classic banking with basic accounts. I don't know why they are not providing it to me only!

Even I am seeing this as zero for Required Average Balance thing, my account was opened online and it's Savings Max, so I've been maintaining 25k for many months now and still that is zero, not sure if I will be charged something if my balance goes below 25k

You might want to consider doing some good FDs and upgrading to preferred/classic banking. 0amb as i could understand. Also 1.5L fd with 0 savings balance is OK for savings max
