Nice collection & plan bro...

plan makes one has less cards and better benefits. Its all about our spend categories and right card for them.
very true. I realized it late. You were telling me since 2 years to move to optimal cards but it took me till 2025 mid to get it implemented.
As of now I am satisfied with the cards I have that is matching to the spends. These are my approximate spends as of now:
1. Atlas - within 6 months, I met 7.5L milestone and will slow down on this card for the next 7.5L.
2. Marriott - within 6 months, I met 5L milestone, will do 1L more to get the next FNA and probably stop there.
3. Plat Travel - within 2 months, I met 1.2L and in the journey to 4L, this is a plain simple card, easy to use.
4. Tata Neu and Swiggy - since there are no milestones & they are LTF, it is on low spends. 10% on groceries is very good.
5. Regalia Gold - this just started appearing in mycards today. yet to receive the card. will be mostly used for vouchers, smartbuy, and other excluded cats.

This is my current portfolio entering 2026

1. Infinia Metal MC (Paid - was FYF)- Core expenses
2. Axis Airtel MC (Paid) - Airtel Broadband + Electricity Bill
3. Amazon Pay ICICI Visa (LTF) - Backup
4. Onecard Visa (LTF) - Have used it once for a discount - got it just because I liked the look
5. ICICI Sapphiro Visa + Rupay (LTF - Alumni) - Got it for BMS BOGO and used it once before it started spends criteria. Use the Rupay on UPI wherever possible (not for rewards, but just why not)
Cancelled
1. Tata Neu Infinity - HDFC refused to make it LTF. Rupay on UPI acceptance not great in my area stores. So I cancelled this FYF
2. Wife's Millenia LTF + my add-on (Forgot to activate) - could have been a good backup when infinia Gyftr GC reached

Credit Limit
Infinia - 25L
Axis - 5L
Onecard - 7L
ICICI group limit - 5L

Any suggestions to optimize portfolio are welcome

Here are my typical expenses
1. Gyftr vouchers (PharmEasy, Amazon ASV, Amazon Fresh, Amazon Pay, Myntra, BigBasket via Tata Neu App) - and offline (medical, some large items throughout the year average it out)
2. Minimal Swiggy/Zomato - Prefer Axis Airtel (immediate 10% cashback) instead of Gyftr GV from Infinia (Deferred 16.66%)
3. Avg 500 cashback per month on Axis Airtel (250 from 1000+ Airtel bill, 250 from 2500+ Electricity bill)
I almost get to 10L by usual necessary expenses.
Some other big expenses (once or twice a year) have helped me get over the waiver limit

I did an analysis of 2yrs of expenses on Infinia
Large expenses give me 2.3% average points (less than 3.33% because rewards on large insurance payments were capped)
Usual expenses (mix of online and offline) have given me 10% points on average over 2 years
So far 2.6L points in 2 years (mainly due to large once-in-10 years kind of expenses last year)

get 1 milestone card, either wife regalia gold or urs marriott card.

get one of those 5% cashback cards either ur name or ur wife.

ur done.

I am targeting to maintain a lean, 9 card portfolio for 2026.
Here is how it ranks in terms of value for me:

1.HDFC Diners Club Black (DCB) Metal: This is my primary card. Trying to target all 4 quarterly milestones.

2. IndusInd Pioneer Heritage Metal (LTF): It covers the one weakness of DCB—acceptance. I use this primarily for International spends (0% Forex) and BookMyShow ( 4 Free Tickets a quarter).

3. Amex Platinum Travel: Putting my insurance spends . Once that target is hit, it will go back in the drawer.

4. SBI Cashback: For direct 5% value on online shopping where HDFC/Amex don't offer multipliers.

5. Axis Airtel: Essential for my utility bills and Zomato/Swiggy (10-25% cashback)

6. BoB HPCL Energie LTF: Dedicated to my monthly fuel spend. Using this via HP Pay yields ~6.5% value.

7. IDFC Wealth LTF: Keeping for Railway Lounges and Roadside Assistance.

8.ICICI Sapphiro LTF: Keeping strictly for ICICI-specific bank offers during sales.

9. HDFC Ultimo FYF: Strictly for utilities after Airtel Axis exceeds its limits.

Already closed
1. Axis Privilege
2. SC Smart
3. Federal Imperio
4. Neu Infinity
5. Swiggy
6. Coral
7. Axis IOCL

Will close shortly:
1. Emeralde
2. Kotak IOCL

For 2026 following would be the only cards that will be used:

Dcb pvc - LTF and used for all my spends

EPM paid - after dcb this is my next card used frequently or where dcb is not accepted.

Amex plat - mostly for 4L target
Using to buy vouchers and for some other spends.

No other cards used currently.

24 reward points = 4% value back, surcharge waiver not part of actual calculation neither pay bills through cc, those are separate benefits, imo.

also, need hp pay qr and works there only. for some reason (happens frequently) got only 2 reward points then value reduces drastically.
Have been using HP Pay+ Energie combo in friendly neighborhood HP Pump. Previously was using IDFC Power Plus since 2023 but they stopped giving surcharge waiver since Sep 2024. Then switched to Energie. Happy coins can be seamlessly used while making payment.
