Almost everything is working fine now. We’ve found an issue with the email service, new registrations might not receive confirmation emails at the moment, as the email ports are currently blocked by our hosting provider.

I’ve raised a ticket with them to get those ports unblocked, and hopefully, the issue will be resolved soon.

For Oracle Cloud while the free tier resources are limited and subject to availability for the always free tier. If you are using the PAYG tier and creating let's say an arm vm with 8 OCPU , 32GB RAM and 200 GB block storage. Then you would only be required to pay the costs exceeding the the free limit i.e. for 4 OCPU, 8 GB RAM and bandwidth exceeding free limits ( 4 ARM A1.Flex OCPU, 24GB RAM and 200GB block storage is always free). This would make it cheap and reliable at the same time. The network and general vm performance seems to be good at the moment for an always free vm in their Mumbai cloud region

No doubt here. I'm using PAYG with Hyderabad OCI instance for the past 3 years without any issues.

Use any third party SMTP outbound like mailgun/smtp2go etc in the mean time. Amazon SES is very cheap and offers good delivery too.

XenForo has built in support for SMTP, just the correct ports needs to be opened.

Yes, email configuration is some issue from the hosting provider's side. They need to unblock the Email SMTP Ports.

Update: The email service is back up!
New registration confirmation emails and notifications are now working as usual.

Yea, it is! The same configuration in the Germany or Finland data centers from the same hosting provider costs around $25 less than Singapore. But the Singapore data center is more advanced, high-tech, and... most importantly, closer to India.

A few groups such as founders and admins are exempted from the three-word rule. 😂
