Yes. But how can i track that if this would work or not? If it does not go through before the due date and i pay manually on 28th. Can it trigger after that too? Can it lead to double payment?
No it will not work but it will start working from next month bill. Best time I believe is to add new biller just before bill generation date.
There is no guarantee with hdfc billpay that your bill will get paid. Once your bill gets generated, hdfc smartpay system will fetch your bill and will schedule it like 4 days before due date. Once you see bill in scheduled section the bill will get paid on next date that is like 3 days before due date. If bill payment failed pay manually which will not fetch any reward/cashback. Once failed it will not generally attempt to pay again for that bill.
