Has anyone else tried the trick if it is working or not?
Not a trick. In past also an ICICI payer claimed the same. So it is there since BILLPAY changed to RENTALBBPSNO. Only in statements people were able to judge whether they will receive it or not. I paid using Millennia for Rs.100 just now and got RENTALBBPSNO on ICICI also. 🙂 Hit or miss thing.

Better try by having auto-pay on if bills are small. I don't have Platinum card to confirm this. But my friend in past claimed the same and I didn't cared much and though he must have got for something else.

Was checking redemption option. It says "Loyalty program Gold Cards'
Think this is to do with account type. Have Speciale Gold account variant.

Need your advice @TechnoFino @Vasuki @BVC
Could this be glitch or a continuing reward program on the account type.

Think this is to do with account type. Have Speciale Gold account variant.

i am also seeing ""Loyalty program Gold Cards" . let me try paying a bill, points right now 121.95, will pay 500 bill, lets see whether it jumps by 5 points in few days

I have speciale gold account.with preferd platinum dc.tell me wht to do
Great.
Suggested steps:
  1. Add any other bank credit card as a biller in Bill Pay.
  2. Select debit card associated with Gold account while registering the biller.
  3. Once added it should show - 'SmartPay Enabled' on the biller.
  4. Test it with making a small payment (say Rs 100). While making payment mannualy, it would show 2 options - Net banking or Debit card. Choose Debit Card.
  5. Once confirmed that the money has reached your credit card, proceed for a bigger amount. Keep it unique, so that after 2-3 days you are able make out the reward points. In my case payments used to be something like 30-40k, so was able to clearly make out.
