your payment value is out of the prescribed range for fuel surcharge waiver for indian oil axis bank credit card that's why they charged fuel surcharge.

If it's 1 percent there is no issue but it's 10%.

I guess you will have to raise a complaint. Because max it is 2-3% surcharge. Not 10%

Last month i was also charged with 10+GST for 200 INR fuel.
I know that when using POS machines the transaction should be between 400-4000 to get FUEL SURCHARGE WAIVER.
But UPI in CC is entirely different isn't?
Are we getting cheated?
Somebody pls explain.

Not yet. But i am seriously thinking of raising a ticket.
Axis Bank CC doesn't have a direct Customer Care email. Only NODAL & PNO available

I called customer care, he said the charge is from merchant side, axis bank can't do anything.

What can we do now? How can merchant charge 10% ?

For axis iocl card , always do trxn of 400 to 4000 to avoid surcharge irrespective of UPI on CC/swipe EDC

The fuel surcharge is 1% of the amount, minimum Rs. 10.
A lesson learnt the hard way.
