2000 Rupee notes to be phased out

Well this is not true of the majority of indian polpulation which stays in non tier 1 and 2 cities. UPI's penetration has increased but the transaction is still low in interiors
I think that since 3-4 years, these 2000 notes are not being printed or dispensed, if many people withdraw from banks and use ATMs they would not be having that much currency of 2K notes.

If you do have that much currency, exchange amount is capped but deposit amount is not. Anyone can feel free to deposit cash in banks and withdraw whenever they need.
Worst case, you can do 20K exchange a day if you have money that you cant disclose or something like that.

Even then up till sept, its still valid tender. People legally cannot refuse it.
No need to panic.

Thankfully it was not the dreaded 8PM notification on national television! 😅

In surat my Bank game me 2000 notes last week worth 2lk. I ask reason for that as i perosnally not seen 2000 notes from bank from last 6 months they said they have so many of it and currency chest not taking all notes of 2000 at a time so we are giving back to the customers

Only 20,000 are allowed to deposit at one time which means 10 notes at one time.

Ab 2lakh jama karne ke liye 10 chakkar marne honge 🤣 🤣 🤣

As per RBI, 2000 Rupee notes are being phased out. It will be a legal tender only till September 30. People can deposit or exchange their notes at any bank. RBI had stopped the printing of notes since 2018. This is a major news.

RBI says it's to prevent black money hoarding. However, not many people are affected as many ATMs didn't dispense 2000 notes since last 2-3 years.

Personal opinion: (not influenced)
It will be mostly hit to businesses and politicians (if you know what I mean 😂)
We common citizens don't have 2000 notes lying around. More applicable to Credit Card users 😀 who uses CC UPI and doesn't have any physical money 💰

Disclaimer: Just a stereotype and not a public view.
