1) For this 5%, do I need to buy amazon gvs and then use them or bill payments directly through the app gives 5%? or do both of them give 5%?
2) If I pay on any website with amazon pay gateway, do I get 5%?
3) Also, do you get 5% for insurance too?

For those who didn't get 5% cashback on utility bill payments using HDFC Millennia, raise a request to grievance redressal. There is no such restriction/exclusion mentioned in its terms and condition. For safer side, it's better to use to GV. The risk is amazon can disable credit card for GV purchase.

Jesus, why bring it to their attention when there's a perfectly good alternative? The T&C may not state it but they could easily kill the 5% cashback for GV and other non-shopping categories if they notice we're abusing it. They've already killed the cashback in Smartbuy/Gyftr and it makes no sense to let Millennia users buy those directly from Amazon. Don't kill the golden goose.

Bro the banks have separate audit team and they use data analytics to see the spend patterns, nothing is hidden in such behemoth banks. It's upto you if you want to raise the concern.
