I didnt heard any such requirement. You should check with any senior coaches on the golf courses, generally they will sort it out for you.

I will book via Teepass which I got via IDFC wealth debit card (VISA ) .

If possible for you, can you just brief what exactly happens in this golf lesson. What all is covered and for how long?

Otherwise for different card, make two booking for same time.

Did someone offer you a handicap like this? people I’ve reached out to (including coaches) have asked to get course membership to get a handicap. Otherwise some online websites offer handicap for a fee

There is no test for issuing a golf handicap caertificate.The handicap is the average of you best rounds of golf,generally of the last 10 rounds of golf you played in that course.I enquired the members about the handicap certificate,they said the golf club generally don't give the handicap certificate,unless you are a member.Online golf handicap certificate doesn't hold much value,I am not sure about that,but that's my assessment.

You can get a handicap certificate without being member also, but first do 20 bookings and build a good relation with the most senior coach in the golf course. They will help you with the certificate then.

Although there's no use of such certificate in India, so don't bother about it.

On VISA its not allowed, but i heard Mastercard allows it. Need to confirm

Cool, I did call them and they confirmed about no charges, however I have heard people being asked additional charge for rentals, club membership etc so I just want to confirm once

Booking details go to Golf Coach not to Golf Club. So just negotiate with your assigned coach.

No. They are happy to get the payment. But just as a courtesy, ask them first. Usually they don't report no-shows either (which is chargeable as per MC T&C).

I have been using the Golf benefit regularly for almost a year now, generally on credit card you will see Golf "Lesson" or "play", for lesson everything is included , you dont need to pay anything extra. They will assign you a Coach for 30 mins + 50 balls to play + an iron/driver club.

While if you choose Play, then there's lot of extra charges, you need to pay for Caddy + Clubs , also if you were new to golf then no point choosing Play, first take a lesson.

Ps: I book using Burgundy debit card + Select credit card, both have these benefits complimentary.
