It seems both these cards has removed the minimum spend criteria. Updated on IDFC website, but not updated on IndusInd website.

I have checked earlier at the above link and it showed golf privileges not available for IndusInd Pinnacle (didn't check for IDFC Select). Now it is showing as available. In general the cards which has spend criteria does not allow booking from MC call center.

Surprised to see that Mastercard still hasnt bothered to create a portal to take golf requests and rather they take request over call. What a stupid way to run business.

Yes, I am also very disappointed with this. I don't like calling and holding the line for 5-6 min every week to make the bookings. A portal/mobile app will be great.
On Visa network its super easy with the portal. Saves time and effort

No direct way to subscribe there unless you are in a club affiliated with IGU (Indian Golf Union) or a member of IGU.
Either way you will need to subscribe to WHS, which is the world handicap system.
If you are not a member of a club you pay a bit extra.
Post subscription, they will generate a GHIN id. You can then use it to post your scores using the GHIN app or GHIN website.
If you are a club member you submit your scores at the end of the round and the clubs submits it to GHIN.
Handicap gets generated after you play 72 holes. Can be full games (18 holes) or half (9 holes)
Thanks for sharing this information.For non club members the fee is 7,500 rs for 3 years.Will they accept the fee for non IGU members also,that we don't know.The membership of IGU is roughly 17,000 rs for a life membership.Is it worth just for getting the handicap index?That depends on the person,if you want to play regularly in tournaments you might need a handicap index.
The only time I needed a handicap certificate was when I played in Mercedes golf tournament conducted yearly for mercedes car owners.The organizers were quite adamant about the handicap certificate.If you don't have the Handicap certificate,they will let you play,but they said you are not eligible for the big prizes.This is the situation with Mercedes tournament in hyderabad.I stopped thinking about the Handicap certificate,when I found it's not worth playing the Mercedes tournament anymore.I played golf in other countries also,no one asked about a handicap certificate until now.

If you need a handicap certificate, please download an app called 'The Grint'. Start maintaining your scores on the app & get a fellow player to attest it. After you enter about 5 scores, it will generate a handicap certificate. Let me know if you have questions
Like I said,I only need Handicap certificate when I play in Mercedes golf India tournament,and I am pretty sure they won't accept the certificate from Grint.I decided not to play in Mercedes India tournament,so I won't need a HC.
