Accor officially has divided the hotel brands into 4 categories. Let’s see a few of the notable mentions of the respective categories:
Accor points expire after a year but are easily extendable simply by transferring more points into your Accor account.
Accor also allows you to transfer your ALL Accor Live Limitless Points into Flying Blue Miles, at a ratio of 1:1. This can be worth considering if transferred during Transfer Bonuses, like last year's 15% transfer bonus, or if you simply have an excess of Accor points.
It is also recommended that you pay the tax portion of your Hotel Bill with a card/cash as their have been cases where people have not been awarded Status nights/Accor rewards upon paying their complete bill at the hotel using only Accor points. The ideal ratio is 80% of the payment using points and the remaining 20% (including GST) using cash/card. But, if you do wish to redeem points for your stay and not pay any cash, it is possible in most Accor hotels to pay the complete amount in points at Check-in. You should confirm it by calling the hotel beforehand though.
