Book the hotel using your creditcard (they wont charge you anything) and then when you checkin to the hotel, tell them you ish to pay everything using points and that's it. When checkin out they'll burn your points (everything inlcuing taxes,taxi etc). I did this on 23 Dec 2023 after booking Ibis Chennai City Centre.
