Accor Status points on Booking Through points

I've heard that we don't get reward points when booking via points, we only get them on the any amount that is paid in cash.
But what about Status points? Can someone help?

Don't pay the taxes using the points. Atleast pay the taxes using cash or card. In my recent trip I paid for 12 nights using points and just paid taxes using card and I got status points and status nights.

I am gold with 32 nights, but I paid the taxes using points because I will not be able to get 28 nights to reach Platinum before 31st December; after which the status nights will reset to zero

You will remain Gold till your Plus membership expires, but status nights will reset to zero on 1 Jan.

Dont worry too much about it. Pay as much as points as possible, unless you see the hotel with 50% off in Red hot deal.

Gold membership doesnt offer anything very exclusive compared to Sliver which you get with Accor Plus.

Yes, Gold is not such a big deal. We just got late check out till 3:00 p.m.

Similarly Platinum is not such a big deal to waste money on obtaining. Don't pay real money for the taxes just to get status nights to reach Platinum, it's not worth it

Late check out is also available for silver member ,gold members have both option early checking or late check out.For status nights you don’t have to pay full taxes just pay 200 or 300 rupees of the total booking that will too give you status nights.

You should pay maximum amount using points and the small change left over with cash.
This is enough to get status nights

I usually don't like when people make blanket statements for everyone. Each person has their own use case.

Platinum offers free lounge access and free breakfast (APAC). To be honest, it saves a lot of money given my use case. I choose the rate without breakfast, saving points. Then, many times I just use the lounge for light lunch or dinner, thereby saving money on meals.

Everyone needs to evaluate and do their own calculation.
