Devaluation Airtel app levying usage fee on utility payments on Airtel Axis credit card

Airtel started levying usage fees on electricity bill payments while using Airtel Axis credit card on its app. Might add the same for other bill payments also.

The cap is per month or per statement?

250(25%) - Airtel Services
250(10%) - Utility
500(10%) - Zomato, Swiggy, BB
1% rest all

Looks like it’s in the process of being rolled out and is being levied selectively—I just made a payment without any extra charges! Hold off on updating the app for now.

Yes 114 has no charges currently. Just remove 116 n install 114 . Paid just now widout any extra charges

Dont know why every bank is after utility payment...... Guess now its back to ancient era....

Not good idea. There must be convivence charged now at counters too, like we are getting charged in some banks if we deposit multiple time in a month.

In J&K for electricity bill payment, they have tied up with J&K bank for payment via challans. Now they have started charging 20+GST convivence fee for payment over the counter. Also, they are not telling this upfront to many people over there and deducting from the total cash given from electricity bill due to which in next month bill 20+Gst+late fee is added.
