Airtel Payments Bank Temporary Blocked 🚫

Today I received a message citing that my airtel Payments Bank is blocked.

The message received as..
Dear Customer, To secure your a/c, restrictions have been applied on your Airtel Payments Bank a/c. For continued services, visit your nearest banking point @ i.airtel.in/bankingpoints & perform biometric transaction. Services will resume within 24 hrs.

I contacted airtel Payments Bank customer care, they didn't given me satisfactory answer.
They said this is due to some suspicious activity flagged by system, that's why your account got blocked.

They said visit nearest airtel banking point and withdraw cash by biometric.

You don't need to worry. It's because of high number of transactions.
Go to your nearest airtel payments bank service provider and do a biometric Cash deposit or withdrawal. After that, within an hour you account will be unblocked.

I haven't done high transactions, only 7-8 upi transfer per month.
Anyway I visited airtel nearest banking point they said me your account got blocked today.
Try after two days. So I will try again on Monday.

This happens to me also.
Don't worry. ☺️
One tip:- don't do aadhaar deposit or withdrawal, tell them you want to deposit or withdraw by using your account number.
Your mobile number is your account number

I am literally asking for real is there any way to get fastag without car?
Because I want one for cc to bank.

No, all was different amount and on different Dates.
Only 1 transaction was same as credit and debit of rs 5000 on same day.
After this transaction next day my account got temporarily blocked.

That’s unfortunate. Just 2 transactions of same amount on same day and they blocked 😰

How old is your account and on accessing the airtel paymts bank page on the airtel app, does it show any info as to it’s blocked

Yeah, but can't do much, they know their policies.

3.5 year old account and such irresponsible act by the bank. Unbelievable!!!

And thanks for the screenshot. I too use Airtel payments bank and do a lot of transactions with it. But I take care not to do the same amount debit or credit on nearby days. Thankfully it has worked till today. Anyway will strictly adhete to that strategy from now on.

Idfc was notorious in blocking accounts for repeat transactions of same amount in short span of time, But they seem to have improved. No recent reports of such incidents on TF.

Back when you opened your account, did you complete the full KYC? Most likely your account got blocked due to light KYC.

Account opened in 2021, yes I had completed full vkyc.
