Airtel thanks app does not have option to pay Telangana electricity bills? How to use airtel axis card to pay bill and get 10% discount

Hi folks,

I recently applied for Axis airtel card and it got approved.
I have a Telangana electricity bill pending to be paid but I don't see option to pay Telangana electricity bill on Airtel thanks app.
Is there any way to pay Telangana (tsspdcl) electricity bill through Airtel axis credit card and still earn 10% cashback?

So you can't pay more than 10K on amazon bill pay ? I am new Apay card holder. 2%? isn't it 1% on all other transaction.

1.Yes you are right, 2% cashback on electricity bill payment of less than 10k only allowed.

2.If you earn cashback more than 10k in a calender month ICICI block your card saying business transactions.
3. I am using Airtel app as platform and apay ICICI as card to pay my single 50k electricity bill and getting 1% cashback without any convience fee

So you cant spend/buy product more than 2,00,000 on amazon using Apay card because u get 10K return (5%) and ur card will get blocked even if u r genuine user :O i was planning to buy 1.5~2.5Lakh worth TV on near future. Thats weird.

For single item no problem if you buy two or three TV you and get 10 k CB you are in their radar.

Thats understandable, Business user do this from what i heard, specially when u use GST No. u will definitely get market.

You can call the customer care and inform them about a large purchase in advance so that they won’t block it or report as suspicious.

After multiple attempts to contact the Airtel team I got the following reply from them in August

The problem is not with Airtel but overall with BBPS. Telangana electricity board is not on-boarded yet on BBPS so it's not showing up on most of the apps who use BBPS in the backend unlike amazon.

Not sure why some departments in Telangana are isolated from the national networks. RTO is another example.

I already have ace.. But I now use dcb to get 7% rewards on amazon gc and then use that to pay Telangana electricity bills.. Better than ace in terms of rewards just that it is less than 10% cashback of airtel axis card

Its a political move. Lots of features in Digilocker also not made available.
They even tried to peddle their own TS wallet for many years.

I dont have it , but I think you need buy from smartbuy and you get something around 10%-2.5% (extra charges). You can check other threads here which have full details.

AP (and Telangana also I suppose?) has gotten on BBPS but surprisingly still not available on Airtel Thanks. I wonder how long they'd take to update.

I also checked 2 hrs back over thanks app.
But ended up paying with amazon pay

Telangana is visible along with TGSPDCL on the Airtel Thanks App but while fetching the bill it says "no bills found". Any one else who have been able to fetch the bill.

It's not showing TGSPDCL for me.

@Bhanu Agarwal @Ravindra It is showing Telangana & AP only while connected to mobile data (4G/5G). and currently showing "no bills found" due to technical issues. probably the integration is not yet fully completed

It's nothing like that, even when on wifi it is showing the states and power companies. Only problem is not able to fetch the bill.
