All HDFC Credit Card Rejection and Pre-Approved Offer Confusion

Hi,
found this community some time ago,
would appreciate help with hdfc credit card rejection issue


some background
had gotten first credit card hdfc money back + hdfc bank account
around 8-9 years ago
but closed both after one year.

fast forward, now ay attempt to apply for hdfc credit card gets stopped at online portal
or
adhaar verification fails
same for all hdfc cobranded cards


my question:
what would be a good way to get an hdfc credit card in this situation?
also if it is worth making such an effort or not?(opening account and making fd for card)


My current cards
-ICICI MMT PLATINUM
-ICICI PLATINUM
- ICICI AMAZON
-AXIS FLIPKART
-IDFC FIRST MILLINIA
-ONE CARD(FEDERAL BANK)
-SBI PRIME VISTARA
- HAVE AN IN-APP OFFER FOR ICICI EMERALDE PAID

please feel free to suggest any card to close and if getting icici emeralde would be ideal

No you should not go for ICICI emeralds if paid it should at least fyf try for sbi cashback

Please check if they closed card account. Mine closed 10 years back, was left as dormant instead of closing. I suspect that was causing rejection of cards for me with HDFC.

just checked with cibil app , it shows the card under closed section along with small finserv loans
but appreciate your input

For me it didn't even show in CIBIL. But once I opened a savings account with them, it showed up in cards section.
