Alleged Amex devaluations?

Alleged latest Amex new devaluations, please confirm if true-
1) Amex Reserve cc free golf needs 50k spend.
2) No more free MRCC or Plat Travel cc with Amex Reserve cc
3) Gold charge cc limit reduced to 50000 for some new applications
4) Many Amex customers are not getting automatic limit enhancement, which used to be the case in the past.

But not to worry, all these are insignificant for most existing American express users and don't affect their 3 main/best cards --
Platinum travel
MRCC
Gold charge

I meant for newly issued cards. Newly issued cards eligible for limit enhancement after 6 months.

I got my auto LE after 1 year..
It depends..
This 6 months rule is nothing new.. for some it may be 6 months , for some it may be 9 / 12 months..
It all depends on the customer profile..

It was there past 3 4 years. Nothing new in that rule, every bank follows that

Amex used to enhance limit before six months also if one approached cx service.
But now one has to wait for 6 months for limit enhancement.

I got amex card 2years back. They given 90k limit, i was not satisfied and straightway asked LE and they informed that amex has 6months rule. After 6months i can request LE.

Exactly after 6 months, on call itself they increased 90k to 135k

First , how you got this devaluation list? Is this your perception or there is some concrete evidence? Or some random thoughts?

Thanks for removing devaluation tag, it just confuses readers that these were actually devaluations rather than discussing on "alleged" items which OP himself declared..

My brother got two LE in 12 months. I got couple of auto LEs in last 1.5 years but used only once.

So it's true, from Dec 2024 only 50000 limit on Gold charge card!
Maybe they expect people will use Gold charge card only to buy 1000 x 6 Amazon pay on Amex Gyftr 5x, and collect 1000+600 points every month.
But they have been continuously discouraging this by keeping only 250 Amazon pay vouchers on amex Gyftr

Amex Gyftr still has only 250 Amazon pay vouchers, unlike HDFC Gyftr (500, 1000, 2000, 5000) or Axis Gyftr (500, 1000, 2000)
