Amazon glitch with Amazon pay ICICI card

Ever since RBI Tokenization has come into play , it has been rough ride for Amazon too

Today, I tried making a payment on Amazon using Amazon pay ICICI card and it keeps directing back to the “Select your payment option” page.

Normally once we enter CVV, it should get directed to ICICI website for OTP.
HERE It is getting redirected back to Amazon page only.
This inspite of selecting “save your card as per RBI guidelines” Option.

I called up ICICI

1) my card is not blocked
2) it is enabled for online usage
3) it is working fine on other portals like Paytm

then I called back Amazon. They told they are aware of the problem and the issue will get resolved by Tuesday. By that time sale will be over. 😪

the Amazon CC also told me that several other customers are facing similar problema specifically with Amazon Pay ICICI card.

Same thing happened with me once on the app. So, I did transaction on website and it went through.

Oh this is why I was unable to pay with amazon icici card in Croma 15 days ago. I thought it's Croma issue
 
did you try deleting the card from saved tokens and manually entering the number and cvv again?
it had worked for me a couple of days back.
I tried manually entering the card again. Did not work.

As for deleting token , I think my card is not tokenised yet. And the process to tokenise is not working at Amazon at present.

Can you enumerate steps to “delete the card from saved tokens”

go to your amazon account settings, payment modes and there you will find all your saved cards. u can delete from there.

i had this problem when i had too many saved cards

only web payment works then

i used to keep < 10 cards saved to make it work fine
 
go to your amazon account settings, payment modes and there you will find all your saved cards. u can delete from there.

Account settings > payment modes > Amazon pay card not visible


But when I go to make a payment , it is there in checkout options.

Guess something account specific restriction in my account.

This issue is getting out of hand now.

Both Amazon and ICICI are blankly each other. And I am caught in the crossfire.

This is clearly a glitch on the part of Amazon.

1. According to ICICI , card is not blocked and online transaction enabled.

2. There is absolutely no problem using the same card on other online portals like Paytm

The card when added to Amazon via checkout options disappears the next day.

I am sure the issue is related to tokenisation.

If it was a new BIN number issue , then I am sure it would have failed payment at other websites.

Spoke to Amazon customer care.
They said it is a “Hard Decline” from their side.
Thus the only solution (according to them) is to request issuer to issue another card with a different card number.

With no other option , I have applied for a new card 🃏

Although I still doubt this will solve the issue but worth a try and free.

Shocking because the card is working fine at other websites.

Duck! I'm getting the same issue. In App & Web both places it's not working. It's reverting me back to payment option page.
Yes. It is working fine for me after I requested a new card with different number from CC.
They blocked the old card and new was generated in 24 hours.

For all those who are Facing hard declines , this is the only remaining option.
 
I am facing same issue since a month.

The root cause is not present with either ICICI or Amazon.

I have an explanation for this. Online transactions done via CC/DC are kf two types. Enter card details, CVV, expiry date and hit proceed. Here:

1. Either the merchant will take you on his own page to enter OTP

2. Or the merchant will redirect you to bank page to enter OTP.

In scenario 1, Amazon Pay ICICI CC is failing, while in scenario 2 it works fine.

Amazon uses scenario 1 while most other apps like paytm, zomato, swiggy etc are using scenario 2. Hence, Amazon pay ICICI CC is working fine on other sites.

Few merchants have option to select if you want to redirect to bank page. In this, though it is swiggy/zomato, payment is failing for Amazon Pay ICICI CC.

This is surely the problem of ICICI but they are not able to detect. Moreover, not willing to understand/take action on this too.

I am having similar issue with Amazon Icici cc. My card is getting declined on Amazon, I also tried the card for Tatasky recharge the transaction was declined.. called Icici customer care they say everything is fine and they are unable to find any transaction attempt on my card..

Has anyone else faced this recently..

Also this hard decline, what could be the reason for this..

The issue is now resolved.. I tried again now and the card worked both on amazon & Tatasky..

I faced same issue and solved it. It is the security setting of your router. So next time pay with phone data. It should work. Probably router settings can also be tweaked to resolve it. But at least using phone data it worked.
