Amex card for tax payment?

Can Amex cards be used for tax payment? Does any gateway on income tax portal support it?

If it's supported then is Amex Travel Platinum milestones gets counted for government transaction including tax payment?

1.you have to put in your card details and find out whether amex cards are supported or not
2.contact amex support through app they are very helpful and wil help you in giving you a resolution

Phonepe accepts Amex for Tax payment but 1.3% convenience fee hota hai. Btw, ab toh deadline nikal gaya. 😅

I am planning for future advance tax payment as Magnus won't be very useful 🙂. This self assessment tax was paid by Magnus.

I currently holds
HDFC Cards - (DCB, Tata Neu Infinity, Millenia) - None give rewards for government transaction
ICICI - (Amazon Pay, Sapphiro) - Also pretty much useless except potential 1.5% rewards maybe?
Magnus - Won't work for government transaction going forward.
AMEX - MRCC -> If Amex works then I will get Travel Platinum and achieve its milestones easily with tax payment 🙂

Any other recommendation you have in mind?

Axis will pull the plug on govt spends soon. So, get a card from a public sector bank, preferably one with milestone benefits. Amex worked for ITR. Not sure if it will for advance tax.

AMEX Gold works for NPS payments and gives points too. MRCC does not. Don't know about Plat travel or acceptability on other govt websites.
All SBI cards give points for government transactions. Recommended are SBI Vistara Prime or SBI Elite if you have large payments to make.
SC Smart gives 2% cashback on all payments including government payments. SC Ultimate gives 2% too but point redemption options are pathetic.

I'm not aware, but I've heard about Amex via canara bank portal.
Perhaps even BoB eterna - there was no govt spendings mentioned on the tnc page
