Confirmed- Amex for Tax payment

Paid income tax using Amex via Canara Bank PG. It is working.

This is great way to complete Amex milestone when most cards (except hdfc bizblack) not giving any points for tax payments.

I used MRCC. 5000 x 4 gave 2000 MR points.
Rs.215 additional charges

Platinum travel gets milestone benefits…. But no benefit of using gold charge for 1L. You won’t get any points and will be charged 1.1%

It depends on the amount of tax you want to pay and also on the cards that you have.

I had to pay above 20k and so used MRCC to reach monthly milestone.

Not true. Just used plat travel to pay advance tax.

You dont get Amex points for the transaction amount per se..only the milestone points of 20k spend, right ?
