AmEx companion card update

Recently received a targeted offer last week on my mail as follows-


I have an existing Gold Charge card, and they were offering MRCC as companion card.
The detailed terms and conditions for Companion card are available HERE

Basically, the companion card they are offering is not free, we have to pay full annual fees for it, and it includes all the standard MRCC benefits. Earlier it used to be free, but now it is paid, as confirmed by AmEx service too. Not sure how this is different from just applying normally, but I applied from their link anyway. Put my application on Friday.

Will use it for a year and see if the added points are beneficial for my spending pattern, and if they provide some reduced fee/retention offer after one year. If not, willl probably cancel it. Let's see.

No man, that's the normal spending based points they have shown. Like if I use my gold card and mrcc card properly in a year, 36k extra points can be collected.

Using own referral makes more more sense lol

You can do that after 90 days
