Card approved on 8 May and received on 10 May. I got the explorer kit on 20 June.

I had not activated card and the cRd is cancelled now due to non activation

I have got 3 different referrals in my family and yet to receive Kits, on speaking to Chat support and customer care they are saying that time frame to get is 120 days. Not sure of the issue. Earlier I got limited edition cards.

I too recived this today Amex Explorer Kit.

I had read a lot of comments here and on reddit panning Amex for the quality of the kit. From my first hand experience, I can assure you the quality is pretty great.

The airplane watch is solid and heavy and the telescope has a nice leathery wrap around it. Only think I could fault (nitpicking frankly) is the quality of the luggage tags. Compared to my Vistara Gold ones these are pretty ok.

But overall super impressed with Amex. This is my first year where I referred someone and really pleased with the kit overall.
