Amex offering upgrade from Plat Travel to Plat Reserve ,worth it ?

Currently holding a Plat Travel with limit of 3.69L

Have been offered upgrade to Plat Reserve on call by customer care before when called for some unrelated query

Received below email today

I've been very content with my Plat Travel for last 2 years ,
spending 4L every year with Reward Multiplier as much as possible ,
using Taj Vouchers and Converting MR Points to Marriot Bonvoy for Marriot and ITC Stays ,
it's now my primary card for everywhere Amex is accepted

So my question is ,is it worth it to upgrade ?

That used to be the case until about 2 yrs ago ,MRCC was given complimentary as a companion card with Plat Travel and Gold ,
But not anymore,
Even Plat Charge holders can't get complimentary companion cards anymore

IMO, for MRCC, concentrate on 1500 x 4 transaction milestone alone, and that comes to 72K per annum. And one of the months, spend another 18K bucks to reach the 90K milestone for paying half fees i.e. Rs 750.
That would probably get you close to 5% cash reward rate (considering gold collection vouchers such as Amazon). I am not including the regular MR points for this calculation.

Now, since the milestones do not take into account the type of transaction, I do this for fuel expenses, which generally most cards do not provide rewards or good rewards.

To complete Plat Travel 4L milestone.
Load into Mobikwik and transfer the balance to anyone..
I do this for my rental payments..
I finished my 4L milestone under 6 months.

yes there are charges @ 2.95%..
but until a few months ago, they used to give back 1% on Wallet load + 1% CC payment via DC ..

so, the net cost to me was 1% ...
to get about 6 to 7% reutrn on 4L milistone..

I think on mobikwik you need tonapply century voucher earlier it was 100 inr now it is 50 inr and another one was regular 1 percent cashback coins in mobikwik. Century voucher isnonce per month i think.

Century code I used to use many many times per month to get 100 CB.. that was in golden olden days .. dont know what's happening now..
