Devaluation Amex platinum travel collection devaluation?

Can someone help me understand below email..it seems like a devaluation
Yes it’s a super deval for Plat Travel users who used it for voucher redemption for Taj and Flipkart.

Taj - 0.50p per MR point Earlier, Now 0.4p per MR Point

Flipkart - 0.30p per MR point earlier, Now 0.22p per MR point

Instead they have introduced Postcard vouchers @ 0.50p per MR point and Air India Voucher @ 0.30p per MR point

20k MR = 6k air india voucher, how come 50p per MR?

Devaluation for Taj users, good news for Postcard and Air India users, no change for Marriott users.
Even for Post card users the sheer amount of voucher requirement in order to qualify for a fully paid stay is enormous in terms of points (where stay usually starts at 18k onwards). I would say the choice of new partner is not commensurate with that to the old one considering value.

Looks like will have to cull out the Top card from the Trifecta. Was pondering over removing it last year, but it seems it is of now use now !
I majorly use it for Taj Vouchers to cover my 1 Luxury Travel of the year ... Loosing 4 K Per year !

First Marriott 30% bonus offer didn't come this year end. Now this.
Is it bye bye Amex time?
For those who were primarily using it for voucher redemption (like me) I think yes they need to evaluate whether it makes sense to keep the card now onwards or not. The thing is Amex Plat Travel is integral to Trifecta hence if you close it then collective value derived from other cards as well take a direct hit as well. So it turns out one might need to change the entire ecosystem then.

Yes I am now evaluating three options:

1. Either to replace Amex Plat Travel with other Amex card to maintain trifecta.

2. To continue with Amex Plat Travel and solely use it for once in a while transfer To Mariott.

3. To entirely get out of Amex Trifecta by closing Amex Plat Travel and Amex Gold Charge.

1st option is dicey as there’s no direct replacement in terms of milestone card from Amex Stable for Plat Travel.

2nd option is difficult in my case as I’ll be sitting on a pile of points awaiting redemption. Also it doesn’t help that I opt for Gold Collection redemptions from other cards hence overall points required for a good stay shall take a while to accumulate solely from Plat Travel.

3rd option seems the most feasible but entails getting out of Amex Trifecta keeping only MRCC of occasional offers. Shall have to revert back to cashback cards.

Postcard hotels just don't make sense to me in the first place. Extremely limited footprint, and on top of that there would be availability issues since their hotels have what, 9 rooms on average? You have to be a die hard fan to redeem anything here.
