Devaluation Amex platinum travel collection devaluation?

Can someone help me understand below email..it seems like a devaluation

AMEX has been trying hard to upgrade most Amex Travel users to Amex Platinum for a long time now. The plan has backfired. The result is devaluation of platinum travel. Expect a new wave of marketing emails asking to upgrade to platinum in the next few months.

I think they're referring to the lack of lower denomination vouchers.

I just got my Plat Travel application done yesterday, looks like I won't be activating it.

I am not able to understand how it affects people having gold or MRCC along with travel card. They will still use 24k gold collection - it any case gives better value. Standalone basis travel card is good only for Marriot transfer. But I sense Gold collection may not stay same. It was devalued last year and maybe next change will happen there. Doesn't make any sense that here you pay 25k points to get 10k Taj voucher but another you can get 14k voucher for 24k points.

Could it be possible that they plan to devalue 14K Taj voucher for 24K points as well?

Also, @jk51 I sail in the same boat, using this card to fund 1 luxury travel a year. But now your 3rd option is the most convenient one. I moved in that direction after not receiving a good renewal offer on Gold Charge last year. I think the time as come or Plat Travel too.
