Amex Platinum Travel Redemption Choices

I believe many are like cat on the wall situation about Amex Platinum travel especially with redemption values

I hold MRCC and looking for Platinum travel upgrade via referral but redemption is a question mark for me.
I hear,
1 MR = 0.3 rs Flipkart
1 MR = 0.5 rs Taj

Flipkart is bit less value more usable whereas Taj is more value but less usable(for me)

Is there any redemption options between these 0.3 rs FP and 0.5 rs Taj like say, Tanishq Gold(not Diamond), BMS, PVR ?
If yes, what will be the conversion value for the respective brands?

Yes. First was Plat Travel and then got MRCC as companion card few years back

This could potentially be the differentiating factor, nonetheless, it is worth a try to get support to merge the accounts if possible. As you said, it takes a lot of time to accrue points especially MRCC and Gold, and it provides access to the Gold collection for PT card.

On a different note, I am trying to find any app through which i can use amex cards for Tap n pay NFC payments offline.
I haven't find any like cred,paytm,gpay etc doesnt support and official amex app doesnt have too.
Do anyone know any way for NFC cardless payment in amex?

Why do you need an app for contactless transaction when you can do it directly through app? Go to transaction security settings under account page and enable contactless transaction from there.

I meant contactless but cardless too.

Seperately points were showing for PT and MRCC,
I got PT before MRCC

So it seems a pattern that those who got PT before MRCC have two reward program accounts, whereas those who got MRCC or Gold before PT have a single reward account.

This is a crucial piece of info if it holds out to be true in general, and must be circulated far and wide. It’s a huge relief that my accounts are pooled, and I also got MRCC first.

Yes, I have also heard that but I think getting the AmEx Plat travel first will make getting the Gold Charge easy. I might be wrong, but I think that's a better way.

In that case, how about order 1, 2, 3? MRCC and Platinum will be merged account. Gold can be ordered late basis Plat.

i have taken MRCC, then after a year added Plat travel, both have separate rewards.
so whichever order u take, rewards are separated, come on, thats the whole point of MRCC, to have gold collection, how will amex give/extend that benifit to plat travel?!

Yes, see below. I have Plat Travel and MRCC both mapped to my Amex account. I got these cards only a month back but I collected about 18.9K points aggregate on these cards.

All my points are added to the same account, see the top Card Selector, gold is MRCC, silver is Plat Travel.

If I choose Plat Travel in the card selector and go to redemption for Insta Vouchers, I can see the Platinum Travel Collection as shown below

If I choose MRCC in the card selector and go to redemption for Insta Vouchers, I can see the Gold Collection 18K and 24K as shown below:

Then I would say all these speculations are vain and only Amex knows their approval criteria. Like I said above, I got MRCC first and my accounts are pooled. I also got Gold last, after MRCC and Pt Travel and that was approved as well, with a yet larger shared pool.

Just maintain a good financial profile and you can get whatever you want in any order.
