I still haven't received the kit
Infact for the referral done in January I haven't received the apay card also
They told me to wait till next month
Even I have not received the kit yet. I guess they will be shipping the kit batch wise sometime later after the previous end date of 30-Jun-2024.

How is the Platinum card different from Platinum travel card?

Platinum cards in AMEX:

*Travel - for 4L annual spends (which is also called as platinum travel)
Reserve - for 10L annual spends
Charge - for luxury stay and travels (which is also called as platinum = platinum charge)

Other cards in AMEX:

SmartEarn - to stay in AMEX and hoping someday better offer or improve relationship, nothing useful.
*MRCC - for 1.5L annual spends (prefered by many due to fee waiver)
Gold - charge card with no benefits (helps for high limit that may also comes with mail asking about ITR if availed, same for platinum charge - so, unless income supports, do not spend high on these charge cards for peace of mind)

DM me if looking for referral.

can i get amex card with a possibility of not asking for the income docs
my pincode is serviceable

you can get but you can also get notice of they see unusual spends or as they feel in future.. that time also you have to provide itr or have to close the card.

So, better go only if you have income or able to produce them whenever they asked to keep earning reward points.

lets say if i provide 6.5 lakh ITR and if i spend 10 lakhs per annum do they block the points ?

no, unlike axs but might ask for latest ITR and can release account if they satisfied.

Its like if you get card, assume they have your ITR as shown in CIBIL or 0.. and if you spend 10L they might ask updated ITR to better serve you.

again, if you have ITR its better to produce now itself rather worry future problems.

They should declare the referral program till eternity 🤣🤣
They keep on extending the dates again and again 🤣
They will have to keep on extending it till eternity, in order to multiply the user base.

Because they have stiff competition from banks which are giving 24% return on buying both domestic and international air tickets; and also 14% return on spends more than 1.5 lakhs per month

In recent one and a half year after ban was lifted, Amex has increased it's user base manifold through referrals... Also, providing relaxations on initial fee has also fueled it's growth...
The returns are also decent and AMEX as a brand itself is a keeper...
So I don't think AMEX will have any competition in near future....
