Anyone who booked award ticket or upgrade vouchers for friends or family and member is not travelling with them. How was their experience?
Heard there are lots of restriction if member is not travelling with them. Is that true?

You have to add nominees on your account.. and then buy tickets for them.. upto 8 nominees can be added.. no issues.. good experience.. no restrictions..

Nominees can travel on their own. No problem

there is no diff, it is just a regular ticket

I had recently checked with Vistara customer care if my nominees who are travelling on award ticket need anything specific to avoid any issues at check-in considering some scrutiny checks. They said that the nominees only need to have accurate details of person who has booked the award tickets including the CV ID of the person for verification.

No such verification ever happens. Just give/show PNR/ticket along with any valid id proof and that's it.

I've used all of my 4 Premium Economy Vouchers on my Axis Vistara Signature Card for my parents as Vistara doesn't service Vizag as of now ,
Never had any issue

Just add Nominee in your CV account before hand

Getting award seat on your preferred travel date is a different issue of course
