Anyone got their Citi Priority account converted to Axis Burgundy?

Quantum

TF Premier
Hello folks,

Two parts of this question:
1) After the acquisition of Citibank's consumer business by Axis this year in March time-frame, did anyone get their Citi Priority account "converted" to Axis Burgundy?
By conversion what I mean is that post moving the account, your Citi priority account doesn't exist anymore, and now it's only the Axis Burgundy account for you.
If yes, then did Citi folks/RMs reach out to you for the conversion, or you yourself asked for it?
Did they provide you any CC as well?

2) Also, what would be the future outcome for existing Citi Priority account customers by next year first half?
Will they continue to remain (and labelled) as Citi Priority customers forever or equivalent of Axis account and cards would be provided to them?
Any official link/document that talks about the specifics of it?

Thanks!

If you have received cheque book of axis for your citi account then on that you will find a code written on chequebook.
For burgundy savings it will he SBPRS.
After getting the code from the cheque book refer following thread for more info.

Thanks you!! isn't SBPRS : Burgundy Salary acc instead saving

Even I had >15 L TRV in my Citi Salary account in the past, but regardless of that they converted my account to Axis priority. I could confirm it by some of the SMS they have sent related to cheque book delivery. No clues on how Axis works..

Hi,

I am currently handling the Burgundy Affluent segment of Burgundy with Axis. Let me know if the above answers were helpful:

1) After the acquisition, Citi priority account or any account for that matter will not be converted to burgundy. To get the Burgundy title, you need to open a new account with us by either maintaining AQB of 10L in SA or CA or maintain a TRV of 30L. If you want to reach out to a Citi RM, I can help you get connected with them via call or via video call and clarify your doubts. You will get Burgundy Debit Card, Select Credit Card and a Multi-currency Forex card complementary after getting onboarded to Burgundy Account.

2)In Retail Banking segment, services will be same from Citi employees, but the branding will change from Citi to Axis.

In case you want to discuss more, we can do it over chat or phone.
Can I DM u?

@Priya Karam off topic I'm planning to close my current salary account and open a new salary account with axis bank. I got to know they have some offerings for my employer I couldn't get in touch with any axis representative who can help me with my queries. Can I dm you regarding that?

Is your Citi savings account a Citi Priority account? Once the account balance reaches 15L and remains there for 3 months, Citibank used to convert such accounts to Citi Priority account (i.e. NRV >= 15L).
Did it hold the Citi Priority account status anytime in past or now?
As you said, it is a savings account, and Burgundy savings account has 10L AQB as the criteria.
Did your account statement reflect 10L AQB anytime in the last 1.5 years?
darn i wish i knew this earlier.I maintained balance in Icici without any benefits.....

Hi, new to the forum, although have been a regular reader of TF. So I received a Burgundy chq book (SBPRV) a couple of months ago, and an e-mail yesterday of the migration of the Priority Account (~7L AQB - used to be 10L+ uptil about 6 months ago) to Burgundy and Citi IOCL to Axis IOCL. No cards have been issued as yet, only notification. This used to be my Salary Acct (>3L TH) till about 15-18 months ago, when my employer decided to ditch Citi on the merger announcement and I had the choice to move to ICICI (which I took) or HDFC.
I am seeking an opinion from the experts on what to do next? The Axis CC has been terrible to say the least, and I don't have much hope from any of the banks anymore. ICICI is not far off, just that I have always had an RM (acct was opened in 1999 with >1L AMB so grandfathered into Wealth with just 1L AMB requirement). I do have a Flipkart Axis CC LTF since the past 2 years.
I see that M4B is no longer free and I am not chasing it. But what should I at least be looking forward to from Axis in terms of any simple reasonable benefits with the Burgundy tagging. I can hit the 10L AMB if they force me to, but I need to understand what to expect in return from Axis.

Any help appreciated.

I received Axis Priority Chequebook (SBPCB) in April and i was under the impression that my citi salary account will be migrated to Axis Priority Banking Program.

Yesterday like everyone i received email about new Axis mapped products for my portfolio. Now it mentions Burgundy account for me.With Axis we cannot trust anything. I am not sure what i will finally be migrated to😱
