Axis Credit Card Anyway to not to be charged with annual fee

I have a Axis Flipkark credit card which has a EMI running of ~370, My last payment of the EMI is next month but the problem is my annual fee will also be charged next month. I want to close the card. Is there any possibility that if I pay the EMI an don't want to get charged the annual fee as I want to close it. Tried EMI pre closure but they are charging the pre closure charge that is equivalent to my one month EMI. Any inputs is appreciated

Usually you can close the card in the month when the annual fee is charged and the fee is removed upon card closure.
