Au bank unethical agent

Hi guys, need some help! I have applied for Ixigo AU bank credit card 4 days back, I had done video kyc and next day an agent called me for my home address verification.After verifying, he asked me for bribe, which I rejected, today I got a message from AU bank saying that my application got rejected. Can I complain it to RBI? or is there any way to complain about this insanity? @TechnoFino

Did you took any proof that the verification asked for bride by audio or video cause both will be required so au can remove him from his job. RBI won't do anything here cause it internal matter with the bank and agent.

Try sending an email to the AU Principal Nodal Officer pno@aubank.in mentioning all the details and including all the proof you have.

Don't forget to mention that he rejected your application only because you refused to give a bribe.

Additionally, tell them to provide the reason for the decline. According to RBI guidelines, the bank is required to share the exact reason for the decline, which has not been communicated.

Certain things should be informed casually, as there is no proof of the bribe and no proof of link between the bribe and the rejection.

Take it to social media after complaining as mentioned by @yusuf646 . I don't expect any immediate action, but people will know how unethical AU is, if AU doesn't take any action.

Remember that such home/office verification jobs are outsourced to small outfits in/near your locality. Such outfits employ these chaps on a per call basis or on a low salary basis.

It is like a uniformed sweeper (from an outsourced service provider) asking for bakshis/chai-paani from a techie in an top IT MNC firm.

AU/the Bank will have nothing to do with it. Nor, will they try to take any concrete action. At best, they may put in a word to that outsourced firm.

RBI is in no way connected with it. Don't waste your time on that front.

Unfortunately NO! I have many other credit cards, but have never experienced such situation and so I was not expecting such a thing, hence did not take photo/video.

Infact I have offered him some fresh mangoes from my home and tea as well, He looked happy but don't know what happened later!!

Yes, but I dont think there is a reason for rejection, I have 785 CIBIL score and annual salary is also >7lakhs and there are no enquiries from past year as well!!

Yeah I understand nobody would have expected this! N plus you offered mango n tea. You can request application deletion in 90/120 days n re apply.

Better not to waste much of your time on AU Bank; and follow the below 2 pieces of info/advice/ suggestion.

so better to leave this issue; it's like a Traffic police hawaldar asking you to Pay Rs 100 and you are willing to take the matter upto the Supreme Court. ( not worth the efforts and pain )
If you really want the CC; maybe try after few months, through branch....

When my friend applied for the card, following both office and home verifications conducted by two different agents, He received a call from AU inquiring whether the verification personnel had asked for bribes. Interestingly, the verification team communicated in proper Telugu.
- His card got rejected and AU sends automated mails not giving any proper reason for rejecting the card.
