AU Ivy Premium Banking Program

Hi,

I wanted to know whether anyone is a member of the AU Ivy Premium Banking Program? What is your experience of this program? I also wanted to know whether AU Bank will downgrade if the Rs 25 Lakh AQB is not maintained? or do they not have any downgrade mechanisms at all?

Wow nice! Did u post your timeline of events here anywhere? Can u link me to it? Or give a short timeline of events?
I haven't posted it anywhere. Basically, applied via Swipe Up in Feb 23. Showed instant approval for Excite Ultra with 8 lakhs limit. Used IDFC Wealth which had a limit of around 18 lakhs at that time. However, later this application was denied. Went to a branch after a month and the manager assured me of card approval if I opened a Royale account with 5 lakhs funding. Did that. After about 6 months, they applied for me. It showed Zenith pre approved with 8 lakh limit. Once again, the application was later denied. AU always claimed verification failed even though no one ever came to verify anything. Not having a business or company name made it difficult as well. The branch pushed it very hard and contacted senior people all the way up to the head of card services. In the interim they suggested that I move 50 lakhs there and upgrade to Ivory. Someone really hated me at AU credit card department as despite approval from senior level, they always failed verification. Sometimes they called and hung up after one ring and then instantly sent me the decline message. This application was reopened several times by the branch reaching out above their heads and they kept declining it each time. Now I asked the branch manager to have it pre approved and they put intense pressure on their CC team to add my name to the pre approved list. Finally, a pre approved offer showed for Vetta card with a 4 odd lakhs limit. Branch applied again, it again showed Zenith + LTF with 8 lakhs and once again it was denied despite initial approval! Gave up on AU and moved funds away except a couple of lakhs left in the account. Downgraded the savings to Royale. The branch kept pushing hard with multiple emails and calls daily. I told them not to bother but it had become an ego issue between them and the CC team. In the interim, contacted @deep@vie here and he was gracious enough to get the old application deleted. He wanted me to arrange some office address to help me get the card. I had lost all interest as AU cards are pretty useless anyway. However, this did the trick. The pre-approval on my account started working now and I got another SMS. I asked the branch manager and she said this time it would be definitely approved. I had my doubts but she applied again and it was approved in a couple of hours. I rhink the deletion of the old application removed whatever negative information they had placed on my profile. Just wanted it to add to my collection. No real use for it. I tried it for domestic lounge access at Delhi and neither my Zenith, nor my wife's Vetta worked in Delhi or Goa! No issues as we have plenty of other cards.

Congratulations 🎊, after all

Meaning? Most such programmes have lesser interest rate than the 7 or 7.5% provided in savings. Could you please explain with an example?
Autosweep is an add-on facility to convert any balance over & above certain threshold(ex: 10k,25k etc) to FD of 1yr+. So your extra money gets interest @FD rates. FDs are created automatically by system in multiples of small amount, say 1k.
Whenever you withdraw the money, if balance in s/b is less then the system automatically takes required amount from FD to complete txn. It follows LIFO method so you don't lose much interest +no penalty +liquidity maintained. All leading banks hv this facility (just that they call it by different names )
