AU Ixigo Credit Card Rejected Instantly Before KYC – Need Help

I recently applied for the AU Ixigo Credit Card via the Ixigo app, but my application was rejected instantly, even before the KYC process.

I have a strong CIBIL score, work at a reputed company with a good salary, and already hold credit cards from other banks.

I'm unsure why this happened. Anyone able to get it approved after facing a similar rejection? Please share any tip Screenshot 2025-01-03 at 5.15.47 PM.webp

Now reach out to RBIO
filled a complaint last week. got a call from AU bank that you have to reapply but we can't approve this application. i said why should i reapply. again there will be CIBIL enquiry and my number of credit cards are still same. and for same applicant you will reject 1st application and approve 2nd one? i said no i don't want to reapply. she said ok we will get back to you

i don't know what will happen. no updates since last week

You should definitely escalate this. Bank is clearly deviating from regulatory guidelines. You should ask why bank did not mention this in the eligibility criteria itself. Bank is collecting data from every applicant by hiding such eligibility criteria. If people are not going to raise questions on such practices, banks will continue with this. People don't want to put in little time and effort to complain to the RBI, but I always say it's applicants' right to ask questions and conplain to regulator when banks are misleading them.
i asked same why it's not written in the eligibility criteria. she said there are few changes in our internal policy criteria. i asked when it was changed? she replied ma'am we have our internal policy can't share. i asked tell me what is the maximum number of credit cards your bank is allowing to get the AU card? she again said internal policy

Request compensation from RBIO for mental distress and an unsatisfactory response from AU. Additionally, mention that they are advising you to reapply.

how should i contact them? i mean should i sent email or wait for reply from AU? because my complaint is still in 1st stage(sent to regulated entity and RBI). can you please share the process. like i will get an update from AU bank and RBI? or i have to followup with AU and RBI every 2-3 days?

Definitely complain to RBI Ombudsman https://m.rbi.org.in//Scripts/Complaints.aspx

Bank has clearly misled you in this case by not providing this as part of eligibility criteria in the application page itself. On the maximum number of cards, AU has given different response to different people if you Google, 4 or 5 or 6 or 7, so clearly there is no such policy.
